American Idol

Okay for anyone that is watching this season of American Idol. Does Brooke White remind you of Hol? We think it each time she comes on.

Miles is in the house!

Miles alive and in color

Hi all,

A few messages for a few people from Jeff: Ang, why wouldn't I want to ever be on the blog? You think Holly is going to figure it out? (I just got punched by the sliced up one). We've never had a reason to blog and now we do! For Cin and your sweet message you left on our answering machine about texting: No, we don't care about texting so why would we do it? We like to talk to people in person about stuff.

So on to the real stuff (see, I'm even talking like a Fuller on the Fuller blog!):

Yes, he now has a name! Miles (because we like it) Pratt (because you know why) and Braithwaite (because he has no choice!) made his debut into mortality two days ahead of schedule. A c-section was scheduled for the 25th. Holly has never gone into labor on her own so we scheduled a birthday party for Mason and Grey on the 23rd. But the night of the 22nd, Holly's water broke. The next morning - Saturday - she called the doctor on call and was told to come right in. We dropped off Mason, Grey and Reece at a friend's house; they weren't terribly dissappointed, yet. We called everyone on the way to the hospital telling them the party was cancelled. After doing a few tests, the doctor said is wasn't amniotic fluid so she could go home. We weren't so sure, but home we went - and there we found two people waiting for us who hadn't checked their messages yet. They still left presents and then Mason and Grey were a little suspicious of our motives. They were sad not to have a baby brother!

A few hours later, Holly started having contractions. When they got to be 6-9 minutes apart, she called the doctor again. Still a little skeptical, the doctor said to come on in again. Once again, we loaded up the kids and their stuff and dropped them off again at the same friend's house. This time the doctor agreed: Holly was going into labor. They would do the c-section that night before the labor got worse. We arrived at 6:30 pm and by 8:00, we were in the operating room. It was good that Holly didn't have too much time to think about it and get nervous for the delivery.

At 8:24, out came "Baby Bub" - as he was, and still is, called by his brothers. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 19 1/2" long. In all the hurrying around that day, I forgot to grab the camera so the most recent pictures we have of him are from the 25th. And by that night, we finally decided on his name - after we had already talked to all of you in one way or another.

Holly and Miles came home yesterday morning. He's a sweet, mild baby with a small, little cry. His toes look like fingers (yep, he's a Braithwaite) and he has some dark brown hair in a receding hair line kind of pattern. All his brothers were excited to see him, but most of the time it's been life as usual for them. After all, what's all the fuss about a little baby that sleeps all the time? We didn't take them to the hospital because they all have coughs or runny noses or something. Grandma Fuller is here for a week to help us out and give everyone some extra attention to compensate for Mom and Dad's new attention-getter.We feel very blessed and fortunate to welcome another boy into our family. We love his spirit and are grateful for his good health. I'm not sure what Heavenly Father is thinking sending us all these boys, but they must be good ones to be able to deal with their dad.

Baby Magnum

Hol had her smallest baby ever!

I don't know that Jeff will get on this, so the news is: Hol went into labor on her own and then they had to give her a c-section. Her unnamed baby is 7 lbs 7 oz. All is well with both of them. (except Hol has her dirty cough back and that won't be good with a bunch of stitches.) Congrats to the Braithwaites!

Magnum PS

We just wanted to thank everyone for their fasting and prayers for the little Mag. If you haven't heard by now, we brought him home from the hospital Saturday night. He is doing really well, although he isn't out of the woods yet. He started to eat again and they prepped us for the home life. We are supposed to bring him back to the hospital in the morning and at night to get his nose and throat vacuumed out. (as needed for the next 10 days) So far, it hasn't been needed too terribly. He is eating and that is our main concern, (and of course breathing.) His oxygen levels were almost normal when he left the hospital. Now our biggest task is dealing with Josh and how paranoid he is about the baby. (If anyone remembers how he was with the boys when they were born, and how could you forget? He is way worse right now) I told him I refuse to do anything too freakish which includes the following: no, I won't call the boys teacher and have her call us anytime anyone at school is sick so I can come get the boys. No, I won't homeschool the boys for the next 2 months. No, I am not making the boys strip down when they get home from school, jump in the shower, and immediately wash their clothes. There are lots of good ones, but those are the only ones I can remember right now. But we do have a whole box of face masks and a stolen bottle of moisturizing disinfectant if anyone needs some. We can't just give it to you, but if you come to my house, you will for sure get some. Honey, if you ever actually get on this blog, I love you and we are not laughing at you, but with you. Plus I'm sure most of the brother-in-laws agree with your over protective self. (or at least they feel they must support you because they need to stick together) Anyway, we really did feel your prayers and the docs were a bit surprised at how fast he came out of it. Thanks everyone for being there for us.

So peeps, I am not going to be the main blogger with all this blogging business, but I better let everyone know that we are now blessing Mag on the 2nd weekend of April at 11:00. Our bishop only wants us to do it on a fast Sunday. The poor little guy has RSV, but so far it isn't serious enough for a hospital visit. He also has an ear infection in both ears, the doc said one was a really terrible one. Plus he hasn't eaten since 6:00 this morning. I will let you know when Child Services takes me away. So how about a little prayer for him. Also I heard Dres got her tonsils out. Dres, I hope you are feeling better. The worst of it should be over by now. Good luck.

Hey, I blogged. Sweet. So I missed out on the email frenzy. Sheesh. Okay, so ya tell news and stuff here huh? I got a cute pink camera so now I am ready to first get it in the mail, second go on another trip to Europe where I take pictures this time, and third, figure it all out and then put pics on this blog business.
Also, I am possibly doing a 2nd edition to my cookbook. Adding lots of the great recipes that aren't in there, fixing any mistakes and reprinting. Feel free to call or email me any of the goods you think need to be in there. Thanks, Ang
