Mom,
I just thought I better let you know how great you are. You are the most selfless person I know. Other than building yourself a house, I don't know of much that you do that is for yourself. After hearing those stories we were telling the other night about how rotten we were as teenagers, I think you may deserve a medal. Plus you've been dealing with the teenagers for at least 20 years. Torch, and good job. Then there is the pregnancy thing, wow, how I hate being pregnant. I don't understand how you just kept signing up for it. It takes me about 4 years to forget how much I hated it. We won't even go into the delivery part because that is so horrific. But what about all the after crap from having a baby? Trying to get them to eat. Having your chest feel like it is going to explode. Never sleeping. That horrible fear of the first bowel movement, then the horrible act of actually having it. (sorry Cin and Lis) Plus taking care of all the rest of us at the same time. We all have you come and help us and we still feel like we are going to die. I honestly don't know how you could keep doing that and stay sane. I get that we are just a wussier group of peeps nowadays, but really, how did you even want to get up in the morning? Plus I gotta say, you always made our house feel like a home. Course for me I think I really appreciate now more than I did as a kid the fact that you made awesome food. You never made anything that tasted bad. But pretty much everything tasted good. That is quite the feat when the main food has to always be based with hamburger. Plus all the treats and goodies are always the best. Mom you taught all your girls that cooking is something that is feasible, and can be fun. Thank you for that. Plus I don't know if everybody else felt this way, but remember when we had some school project that had been assigned a month ago, and we waited until the last minute and then bawled about it that night. Mom always came along and saved the day. Plus not only did she do quite a few late night projects, she came along and always fixed the projects that we had already started and ruined. Whatever it was, if she was in our corner, we knew that it would turn out awesome. Thanks mom for fixing all my diasasters. Mom, I think I could go on forever as all these new topics come to my head that you always made better. This is already too long of a post, but I really want to let you know that you reqally are the bomb, and thank you for teaching all of your children, especially by example. I hope that someday I can be half the selfless mom that you are. THANKS MOM! We love you.
Thanks Ang,
ReplyDeleteYou made my day.!
Mom I totally 100% agree with everything Ang said. I especially remember all of the projects that you helped us with until 1 or 2 in the morning on the last night, making it better than everyone elses in the class. I love ya Mom. You are such a great example to me too.
ReplyDeleteDo you guys think it is pretty sweet if I get all teary-eyed reading what Ang just wrote? It is all 100% true mom. You are and were the best example and the best mom. We often times forget and don't appreciate all that you did for us until we are in the same situation ourselves, or we are reminded later. I am so grateful to you and all that you do and did for us. I love you Mom!
